Wow! We've been here a year (actually a year and a day)! Time flies doesn't it? We are really happy here and the last year has been amazing - with many more highs than lows. We are slowly starting to think about 'home improvements': an office is going up in the garden (literally, as I write) and the 'end room' is being transformed into a sort of play room / snug. One day (when finances permit) we will do the big job of moving the kitchen. We are well on the way to becoming self sufficient (well, as long as we are happy to live on eggs and garlic and nothing else we will be fine!). We have nuthatches, treecreepers, woodpeckers, wrens, tits, thrushes, blackbirds, sparrows, starlings, greenfinches all regularly visiting the garden, and so many more birds just a short walk or drive away. We are waiting for the bats to come back for summer ... not long now we think. We have fabulous beaches just a short walk away and wonderful walks from our door.
Crag View Cottage really does feel like home and I am looking forward to see what the next year (and more) will bring but we are not going to bore our friends and family with that - we wanted to keep the blog up for a year and we have done that and now we are signing off. Maybe we'll be back at some point but for now, this is it from us.
